Volunteer Database Developer/Web Programmer
Part-time contractor (immediate need)

Iron Lava Corp is looking for a practicum student or volunteer database developer and web programmer to work with Iron Lava Corp on projects for Helping Youth Through Educational Scholarships (www.hytes.org). As a volunteer contractor, you will be responsible for web-based application development on content-managed sites, portal sites and ecommerce solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide development estimates for projects
• Work with graphic designers and Iron Lava Corp project managers to provide custom web applications for a third-party charitable organization
• Test, fix and re-test your work to ensure quality solutions
• Interact with Iron Lava team and clients in person and via phone and email

Experience/Skills Required:

• At least one year of studies in a post-secondary web development program.
• Working knowledge of .NET, SQL Server, Access and/or PHP, mySQL
• Working knowledge of HTML, DHTML, CSS, ASP, Javascript
• Experience with portals, security and ecommerce solutions preferred
• Experience with product testing preferred
• The ability and the discipline to work effectively from your home office
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and to work within strict deadlines
• Must be available for periodic and infrequent meetings and phone calls between 7:00am MST and 5:00pm MST.
